This was a very good story I really enjoyed it from beginning to end. Dane and Burke's story was such a good read I really felt for the both of them and all that they went through and how hard it was for them to open up and trust each other. The trauma and heartache that all of these characters went through was really something and you felt for each of them and want them all to find happiness. I also liked how the author gave you little snippets of the supporting characters leading them to have their own story. There were some questions left unanswered that hopefully will be answered in the next installment. This was my first time reading Ms Samuels work and I look forward to reading more.Product details

I really liked this story. It had all the elements...An Alpha with a tragic past and a big heart, a pack forged together by shared trauma, a Goddess with a plan and a group of men who need saving, but will end up saving the Pack as well as themselves.
A well paced storyline, great characters you are invested in, it was the right mix and made for a great read I could not put down until I finished it.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
This story is so full of characters that you meet and fall in love with! You get a peek into quite a few relationships that I hope we will get to see the full story of in the near future. In this , the main one is Burke and Dane's love story. We see these "True Mates" find each other, have , as we all do, some slight problems as they work out their relationship. They have love and magic, anger and fear, miscommunications and reconciliations. Above all a strong and healing love that not only envelopes them, but those connected to them. A wonderful read that flows beautifully with characters that you feel for, fall for and root for. I loved this story so much and I highly recommend it. It is not a short story. So sit back, get comfy and enjoy the ride!
I actually had a hard time finishing this book. The sex scenes were overly repetitive. The characters seemed overly insecure and. Way too many subplots started then dropped. Such as what happened to Alec? Big Set up for Gordon, dropped, same with other characters. Actually disappointed in this book.
The book was too repetitive. It kept going over the same things over and over. I didn't have many issues with all the characters introduced however, I didn't like how the story jumped back and forth between what appeared to be multiple story lines that I think will be developed in different books. When you do that, is like you accomplish nothing. Because I don't feel like I got a story out Of the character that where supposed to be principals in this story. Maybe is was due to poor editing? Maybe the author had this huge book and they decided to chop it off in parts? It just felt unfinished and I don't think I got a story out of the two MCs.
Too much of the book felt like it was copied and pasted sex scenes over and over again. Characters that seemed to be main characters were left just hanging there . Could have been better

Burke’s Law is the first title in a series featuring Burke’s Pack. A series that is sure to keep your hooked and interested.
I would recommend beginning with King Merek and the Mechanic to begin your love affair with Lyssa's writing. Once you’ve started, you will love her universe (s) of love and adventure.
I am not going to let my review offer any spoilers; suffice to say if you enjoy M/M books in the Shape shifting genre, then Lyssa is the author for you. Give her a chance. You will be glad you did.
I could not make it through the book, much less one chapter.. I felt as though I were reading a translation that had yet to be proofread, or a minimum-word-count essay where the writer rewrites a topic sentence four times by just moving the words around within the sentence. There were repeated sentences, or at times the same ideas or details, REPEATED, without attempting replacement with SYNONYMS, and I also was.unnerved when I'd see the same sentence/content a couple.of pages later. I bet if we took out all those repetitions, you'd cut out forty to fifty pages! One star for this one since I didn't (couldn't bring myself to) finish it.
